Curves and Colors – Autumn Motorcycle Rides in the Smokies

It is no secret that the back roads and byways of the 9 Lakes Region provide some of the best motorcycle rides in Tennessee. Many riders to the region have the Cherohala Skyway, Tail of the Dragon, and the Devil’s Triangle on their bucket lists.

Fall rides feature the colorful tapestry of the Smoky Mountains and lake shorelines which provide endless curves and breathtaking views. Also on display are autumn festivals across the region. Consider planning your ride to include a stop at the first annual Lakeside of the Smokies Balloon Fest being held on October 26 and 27 in White Pine, TN. Gates open at 1 pm.

The folks at Smoky Mountain Harley Davidson in Kodak, TN are sponsoring a dedicated motorcycle parking lot for riders. A ten dollar parking fee will get you and a passenger in for an afternoon of live music, crafts, and food truck cuisines.

Take a break for lunch and to listen to music.  Up for a different type of ride? Book a tethered flight to get that one of a kind selfie photo-op.

Make Sunday a fun day and plan a trip now.  See you at the festival!
